Port of Sheerness

The Port of Sheerness extends over 1.5 million square meters and is a premier importation point for cars, fresh produce and wood products into the UK. It is a major driver within the local and regional economy and is a major source of employment through port related activities and logistical operations in Swale and particularly on the Isle of Sheppey.The Port of Sheerness specialises in three main product areas - Shipping of fresh produce, new/used vehicles and forest products.A deepwater port, with no lock restrictions, Sheerness offers easy access for shipping.With its close proximity to the M2, M20 and London's M25 orbital motorway, Sheerness is well connected to facilitate onward distribution to major markets in the South East of England and beyond.

Port of Southampton

Southampton is one of UK’s busiest and most important ports to ship from, and a principal driver in the regional economy. It handles (ships) in excess of 42 million tonnes of cargo annually – or around seven per cent of the UK’s entire seaborne trade – and is the main gateway for Far East imports. Its natural deep-water harbour, unique double tide and sophisticated Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) allow the port to welcome the world’s largest vessels, from deep-sea container ships to cruise giants. Equipped to handle any type of cargo, Southampton is a leading car-handling port, home to the UK’s second largest container terminal and the sole UK port for all Canary Islands fresh-produce imports. The port is also widely recognised as the capital of the country’s cruise industry, and each year more and more cruise liners take advantage of Southampton’s superb cruise terminals.

Port of Tilbury

Tilbury’s position on the Thames provides a major geographical advantage in UK for transport to and out of London and the South-East. The Port is a significant distribution centre, covering over 850 acres and is well positioned to access the M25 orbital motorway and the rest of the UK's national motorway network. In addition, there are direct rail connections within the Port, with access to the whole of the UK. The Port is London's major gateway, handling significant levels of diverse cargo including the importation of paper as the UK's leading port, containers, grain, and various bulk handling facilities, all of which are handled at a number of berths both in dock and on river facilities.
